History

The Centre was set up in 1985 to provide training for early school leavers and young unemployed persons from the area. It receives CETB funding and is managed by a voluntary Board of Management.

The Centre subscribes to a holistic approach to training concerning itself not only with the instructing of the various skills but with the young persons personal development and well being.

Besides the training provided by the core courses, guidance is given in job seeking skills, career planning, social and personal skills as well as the team building skills encouraged through a variety of cultural and sporting activities.
