Germany Calling

Four trainees, Eric Sheehan, Ryan Wall, Graeme Buckley and Kealan Murphy travelled to Cologne, Germany in April to represent the training centre at the OutArt photo contest. The culmination of a year long project which included classes in photography, digital media, teamworking and presentations, the four students combined with groups from Finland, Slovenia, Spain and Germany for two days of work, study and fun.

The group were required to curate their own exhibitions, give presentations to various audiences, deal with the press, meet dignitaries such as the Lord Mayor, and take part in the jury who eventually picked the winning photograph. They did so admirably and acted as excellent ambassadors for the centre and Mayfield. They were accompanied by instructors, Alan Buckley and Liam O’Sullivan.
