Mayfield CTC at Eco Den

Ryan Wall, Stephen O’Donoghue and Emmet Lee attended the Eco Den Awards at the Lifetime Lab, at the old Cork waterworks where they were recognised for the work they did landscaping the garden area at the Mayfield Development project.

ECO-UNESCO’s Young Environmentalist Awards programme is a unique initiative that fosters environmental awareness, responsible citizenship, and aids in the personal development of young people. In the past decade, over 28,000 young people have participated in the Young Environmentalist Awards, creating a lasting environmental impact on their communities.

It was a chance for young people who care about the environment to have the opportunity to meet each other to share their experience, knowledge and enthusiasm. The centre was proud of the input of the three learners, and the work they have done for the community.
